Software Development Centre Head-Chennai


  • Candidate should have a degree in Computer Science/ MBA (with Systems preferred)
    Should have experience of 17-20 years in software development across a wide variety of development projects & leading a team size of at least about 75-80 persons.

    Previous exposure -:
    Demonstrated success as a senior manager (managing managers)technical lead and project managers
    Should be self driven and have desire to work in a start-up environment & grow with the company
    On one hand is able to establish clear strategies, goals and metrics to ensure that expectations are met and on the other is able to allow freedom for the team to grow and deliver.
    Knowledge of current technological trends in the S/W development industry, such as OOP’s, Multi-Tier S/W development, Component Architecture, Web Based S/W, system integration issues.
    Ability to gather and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
    Thorough understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools.
    Basic knowledge of various products in the IT industry.
    Ability to coach, mentor and lead & inspire S/W developers & Support staffs.
    Ensure that the ISO processes are in place and are being carried out in various projects.
    Experience in budgeting, forecasting, & estimation of software projects. Exposure to Quality Models (ISO, CMM, CMMI, PCMM) & business management & in telecommunications or closely related industries
    Job Description -:A senior level position where the individual would be responsible to manage software development center and provide leadership and direction to the subordinates. The incumbent leads Software Development and is expected to be:
    Responsible for delivering a high quality S/W projects, meeting all required functionality, within allocated schedule and budget.
    Responsible for conceptualizing and developing one or more products in the area of BPM and DMS.
    Involved in all Strategic Business Unit related issues.
    Responsible for customer relationship, meeting client expectations / delivery commitments handling their issue, etc.
    Responsible for mining existing customer / business as well as will work with sales / pre sales team proactively to help in generating business.
    Responsible for monitoring local expenses in conjunction with other support services like HR, Admin, Hardware support, Finance, etc.
    Responsible for monitoring & allocation of resources for smooth project execution.
    Good exposure of handling domestic as well as international customers.
